B2B apps · Wholesale Club / B2B Wholesale Hub

Wholesale Club is now B2B Wholesale Hub. Is native Shopify B2B enough instead?

In short

The App Store address for Wholesale Club now opens B2B Wholesale Hub, published by Orbit, at $39, $69 and $99 a month. Many merchants still search for it as Wholesale Club by Pixel Union. Custom prices per variant, net terms and volume discounts start on its $69 plan. Native Shopify B2B includes all three on Basic and up. The app is still useful if you need product locking beyond catalogs or its analytics.

The one feature native doesn't quite match

Native quantity rules work per variant: minimum, maximum and increment. What many wholesale programs actually want is an order-value minimum, such as a $250 opening order. Shopify's native B2B doesn't have a single setting for that. On any plan it can be enforced with a checkout validation from a public app, because public-app Functions run on all plans. Custom-app Functions need Plus4. We set that up as part of the switchover when it's needed.

Good reasons to keep the Hub

  • You need an order-value minimum (for example $250 per order) enforced at checkout and don't want a separate validation app.
  • You rely on the app's analytics view for your wholesale team.
  • You need many distinct variant price sets on a non-Plus plan.

Switchover plan

  1. Export the app's discount groups and per-variant prices.
  2. Create catalogs: one per price group that truly differs, with volume breaks folded in.
  3. Import companies and locations with Matrixify and assign the catalogs.
  4. Run the buyer-by-buyer price check, including the order-minimum behaviour.
  5. Remove the app blocks from the theme and uninstall.
